Essential Oils for Hay Fever & Allergies
Suffering with streaming, itchy eyes and sniffles that make you feel like you’ve got a terrible cold?
It’s that time again… hay fever season.
The dreaded hay fever is triggered by allergic sensitivities to pollens from grasses, weeds, seeds and flowers, and if you’ve got it, you’ll know it’s absolutely no fun at all. Spending the Spring/Summer months on over-the-counter hay fever medication isn’t ideal as the side effects can be pretty exhausting.
Instead of relying on medication that may leave you feeling lethargic, drowsy or sick, why not try a natural way of alleviating the runny nose and red eyes that are taking over your life?
While we’ve previously noted the benefits of using pure essential oils, we recommend incorporating these particular oils and blends into your routine.
How do they work?
Essential oils can be used as an alternative or complementary treatment for reducing your allergy symptoms. How? Not only do they provide antiseptic properties but their decongestant and analgesic action on the central nervous system can offer noticeable relief during the hay fever season. From breaking down mucous and relieving the build-up of mild respiratory congestion to soothing pain caused by inflammation.
Pure Essential oils for hay fever & allergies

Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulous): Renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties, use this oil to aid healthy congestion. This powerful essential oil helps to fight infection, clearing mucous and debris from the airways.
