With so many different essentials on the market and endless methods of use, starting your aromatherapy journey can be a little confusing. So, we have created a simple guide featuring our top 12 essential oils sourced from the finest crops and harvests around the globe to help you get started.
1. Frankincense: Boswellia carteri
Frankincense is an all-round healer and powerful restorative for general wellbeing.
Diffuse a few drops of the incense-like aroma to relieve nervous tension, to calm frayed nerves and to treat cold and flu symptoms. Apply to the body for a soothing effect on bronchitis, to prepare for meditation and to treat symptoms of stress.
Apply to the skin in jojoba base oil to rejuvenate the skin

2. Geranium: Pelargonium graveolens
An aromatic rose-scented herb, Geranium is the classic relaxant and regulator of those dreaded mood swings.
Diffuse a few drops to relieve mood fluctuations that arise during premenstrual cycle and menopause. Added to base oil and dispersed into bath water, geranium eases hot flushes and aids detox of the body. Apply to the skin in jojoba for its rejuvenating properties and to treat dry eczema.

Bergamot blends well with Peppermint to ease digestive upset.

5. Chamomile Roman 3% in jojoba oil, Chamaemelum nobile

Diffuse a few drops into the environment to prepare for sleep and relax the mind and body at the end of a hectic day. Added to a warm bath it will reduce stress levels and alleviate muscular aches and pains. Simply inhaling a few drops from the bottle will promote relaxation and soothe a tension headache. Lavender applied as a compress to the skin helps clear blemishes, ease eczema and heal minor burns.

7. Lemongrass: Cymbopogon flexuosus
