Here are a few of our recommended recipes crafted by Aromatherapy Expert Pat-Princi Jones to help support your child naturally this year.

Sleep

As the school season returns, disruptions to your child’s sleep patterns can become a rising concern. The transition into a more structured routine, coupled with the daily pressures and stressors of school life, can pose challenges to the quality of sleep your child receives. For your child to operate at their peak they must have a quality sleep every night. To improve sleep, we have put together a few easy tips to help your child achieve a restful night:

  1. Say no to daytime naps.
  2. Reduce your child’s blue light consumption before bedtime.
  3. Try aromatherapy to promote relaxation before bedtime.

Here are a few recipes, crafted by Aromatherapy Expert Pat-Princi Jones to help support your child’s sleep:

  • Primary School, 5-12 years old:

Blend Roman Chamomile, Lavender (add 2 drops of each to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour). – a calming, nurturing mix.

Relax Lifestyle Blend (add 2 drops to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour.)

Sleep Therapeutics (add 2 drops to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour.)

  • Teens, 13-19 years old:

Marjoram (add 2 drops to the water in your diffuser), Sweet Orange (add 4 drops to the water in your diffuser). Diffuse for 1 hour- a tranquil, pacifying mix.

  • Teens, 13-19 years old: Geranium (2 drops to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour.), Mandarin (4 drops to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour.)- a balancing, nurturing mix.

Or Ready-made blend for teens: Empower Lifestyle blend (3-6 drops to the water in your diffuser), Anxiety/ Stress Therapeutics (3-6 drops to the water in your diffuser). Diffuse for 1 hour.

Maintaining a strong immune system is essential for children as they kick off the school year. Incorporating immune-boosting practices can help fortify your child’s defense to illness.

Here is a immune-boosting recipe crafted by our Aromatherapy Expert, Pat-Princi Jones, to help maintain your child’s immunity:

  • Primary School, 5-12 years old:Lemon, Australian Sandalwood (2 drops of each to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour)- a soothing, antiviral mix.

Inspire Lifestyle blend (2 drops to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour).

  • Teens, 13-19 years old: Lemon, Australian Sandalwood (3 drops each to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour) – a soothing, antiviral mix.

Or Ready-made blend for teens: Motivate/ Inspire Lifestyle blends. (3-6 drops to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour). Immune Therapeutics (3-6 drops to the water in your diffuser. Diffuse for 1 hour).

Application Methods

Primary School, 5-12 years old: DIFFUSE at the start or end of the day. Add 2-3 drops in total to the water in the diffuser. Either in the bedroom, in the hallway or in open plan areas of the home. Use as directed and limit diffusion to 1 hour approximately. Keep the diffuser and vapour away from the child’s face and eyes.

SPRITZ: For a quick and effective way of getting the oils into the environment add 3-6 drops to a 100 ml spitz water bottle. Shake well before each use. Spray into surrounding air to create an aromatic environment. Avoid the delicate eye area. Never spray towards your child.

Teens, 13-19 years old: DIFFUSE. Add 3-6 drops in total to the water in the diffuser. Either in the bedroom, in the hallway or open plan area of the home before school or after school. Use as directed and limit diffusion to 2-3 hours. Keep the diffuser and vapour away from the child’s face and eyes.

OR

ROLLER BOTTLE: For a quick and effective way of applying safe dilutions to the body when needed add 6-9 drops to 15mL Sweet Almond in a roller bottle. Apply to wrists, behind ears and jawline for relief, and when needed at home or school.
